Un tesoro dentro de un Castillo.

Windsor Castle is the oldest and largest occupied castle in the world and the Official Residence of Her Majesty The Queen. Its rich history spans almost 1000 years.

The Castle covers an area of about 5 hectares (13 acres) and contains:
• Magnificent State Apartments furnished with treasures from the Royal Collection
• St George's Chapel (one of the most beautiful ecclesiastical buildings in England and the burial place of 10 monarchs)
• Queen Mary's Dolls House, a masterpiece in miniature
• The Drawings Gallery featuring an exhibition.

Y aqui unas imagenes de la casa de muñecas:

Queen Mary's Dolls' House was built in the early 1920s, she was the wife of King George V.
It has an amazing collection of miniature items that actually work. It even has running water through its tiny pipes. It was created as a gift to Queen Mary from the people, and to serve as an historical document on how a royal family might have lived during that period in England.

The dolls' house was put on display to raise funds for the Queen's charities and is now on display in  Windsor Castle as a tourist attraction, especially to people with an interest in miniature houses and furniture.

It was made to a scale of 1:12 , and contains models of products of well-known companies of the time. It is remarkable for its detail and the detail of the objects within it, many of which are  replicas of items in Windsor Castle.
